I'm a keyboardist from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and today I am gonna be playing the popular jazz standard, "Mack the Knife."
("Mack the Knife") ("Mack the Knife" continues) ("Mack the Knife" continues) ("Mack the Knife" continues) ("Mack the Knife" continues) ("Mack the Knife" continues) ("Mack the Knife" continues) ("Mack the Knife" continues) ("Mack the Knife" continues) ("Mack the Knife" continues) ("Mack the Knife" continues) ("Mack the Knife" continues) ("Mack the Knife" continues) ("Mack the Knife" continues) ("Mack the Knife" continues) ("Mack the Knife" continues) ("Mack the Knife" continues) ("Mack the Knife" continues) ("Mack the Knife" continues) ("Mack the Knife" continues) ("Mack the Knife" continues) ("Mack the Knife" continues) ("Mack the Knife" continues) ("Mack the Knife" continues) ("Mack the Knife" continues) "Mack the Knife" is a jazz standard that I've played for years.
I just keep learning jazz standards as much as I can because it's just a never ending list.
You'll be at a jam session and someone will call a tune that you don't know and then you gotta learn it for next time.
So "Mack the Knife" is one of those that I learned when I was really young.
I think I actually first heard the Bobby Darin record, which is like the most famous one, just around the house 'cause my mom played it.
And so that tune has just been one of my favorites.
And so I decided to play it today and play it kind of uptempo and you know, add my sauce to it.
