Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorshipYears and years ago, my friend and I were hiking out at the Eagle Trail there by, Boulder Res, and an eagle just flew right in front of us.
And ever since then, I've been fascinated by them.
I monitor all of my nests at least once a week, especially this time of year when there's activity.
Usually they're perched at the top of trees, and you look for that white head.
Longmont, along with all of Colorado is growing.
And I am concerned about how that impacts their life.
But they seem to adapt pretty well.
One pair that I observe, their nest is close to where they built a new storage unit, and they, they did okay.
I, start documenting in my book the time and the temp.
And there we have one.
There they are.
Providing the information that I see out here helps the Bird Conservancy know what's going on as far as all the eagles that are along the Front Range.
Hopefully they'll continue to grow in Colorado.
Here he comes.
And I'm just so glad that I can be a part of observing them and hopefully protecting them.
